CHICAGO PROVIDES MULTI-LINGUAL VOTING INSTRUCTIONS
A simple book will make voting in next month’s city elections in Chicago easier for citizens with limited English language skills. This book, which will be available at each voting location, provides basic voting instructions in 97 languages, such as how to work electronic voting booths, how to cast a write-in vote, and how to request assistance.
One must be a US citizen to vote, but it is hoped that this service will encourage those who may not be comfortable with English to still participate in the election process.
