Hector Peraza Banuelos was charged along with two others.<ぐ颵ᇏ芻ꨀ봀噓۷?譗Ѿ譟廎沔> ぐ颵ᇏ芻ꨀ봀噓۷?譗Ѿ譟廎沔> Peraza, a citizen of Mexico, and two others, one also a Mexican and the other from San Diego, are accused of giving migrants the fraudulent documents they created. Peraza would then accompany them through the port at San Ysidro where he worked. Authorities believe the false documents were used so that Peraza could feign ignorance if discovered. Each of the men faces up to 20 years in prison if convicted. This is the fourth case of official corruption at San Ysidro in the past year. One officer was found guilty of allowing drugs and migrants through, another was convicted of taking undocumented immigrants through the pedestrian lane, and the last was convicted of stealing green cards so that someone could sell them. Despite these numbers, officials maintain that corruption at San Ysidro is not a problem.
