This month there were significant retrogressions in a number of family based priority dates.  Two factors are behind this.  First, as the end of the fiscal year approaches, the State Department must ensure that the annual limit on visas is not exceeded.  Second, there is heavy demand for numbers from applicants for adjustment of status in the US.  The State Department expects further retrogression in August and September, and warns that in some categories, visas may become unavailable.

In better news, all employment-based categories are current, and are expected to remain current for the rest of the fiscal year.
