SISKIND, SUSSER, HAAS & DEVINE TO ENHANCE VISALAW.COM DISCUSSION BOARD
Since its addition to the Visalaw.com website over six years ago, the Visalaw.com Discussion Board has become one of the most popular public forums on the Internet for people to exchange their thoughts, questions and experiences relating to immigration issues. The diversity and loyalty of our posters, who include immigrants, lawyers, government officials, non-profit agency workers, reporters and many other individuals from around the world, has helped to created an informative resource for people looking for guidance on immigration issues. We at Siskind, Susser, Haas & Devine are pleased to provide this service to the immigration community and continue to marvel at the success of this forum. In an effort to keep the Visalaw.com Discussion Board on the leading edge, we will be updating the software we use to manage the board. The change in software will create a new look to the Discussion Board, but more importantly, it will add several new features we think users will find attractive. First, the new Visalaw.com Discussion Board will have separate discussion areas, organized by specific topics, allowing users to post questions and review information regarding only those immigration topics that are of interest to them. Second, the new Discussion Board will allow users to read and follow responses to a particular post more easily, to see a daily list of new posts added, and to get e-mail notification of new posts to a particular topic area if they choose. Lastly, we have added a new registration feature that will help eliminate offensive messages and other inappropriate posts. Several of our users have been requesting these types of features, and we are pleased that we will now be able to offer this new functionality. The new Visalaw.com Discussion Board will go online Friday, April 6. If you have any questions or comments about the new format, please do not hesitate to contact us at visalawboard@visalaw.com, or you can feel free to post a message in the “Comments and Suggestions” topic area on the Discussion Board. Siskind, Susser, Haas & Devine thanks everyone who has helped to make the Visalaw.com Discussion Board such a wonderful immigration forum, and we hope you find the new changes will further enhance your experience.
