Canada on the Lookout For Terror Suspects

US authorities have notified Canadian border officials to be on alert for dozens of Arab men suspected of having ties to terrorist groups, more specifically al-Qaida. US authorities notified Canadian officials after the men failed to show up for deportation. The suspects are believed to have entered the US on student or tourist visas from Afghanistan, Pakistan, Libya, Syria, Jordan, Iran, Iraq, Yemen, Algeria, Egypt and Sudan. Each man is also believed to have family in Canada or some other tie to the country. Canadian officials say that they regularly receive warnings from US authorities and they are working in cooperation to ensure the fugitives do not slip into Canada unnoticed.
