Legislative Update

A bill that proposed offering in-state tuition rates to undocumented immigrants was killed in the Colorado House last week.  Rep. Ted Harvey (R) introduced the bill, which originally would have barred undocumented immigrants from attending state colleges at the in-state rates. Proposed amendments would have changed the bill and allowed illegal immigrants to attend at a lowered tuition rate.  Harvey said it was for this reason that he killed the bill.
