According to a report by Expatica News, over 3 million Poles, or 12 percent of the country’s working population, want to seek work abroad in the coming year. The figure came from a poll published last week by the Rzeczpospolita of Poland.
Britain was the most sought after work destination at 26 percent of those surveyed. Rounding out the top was Germany at 20 percent and Ireland at 16 percent.
Employees in many industries in Poland , including construction workers and nurses have already left to seek better paying jobs in other parts of Europe . Poland ’s economic affairs ministry estimated that public revenues shrank by 3.5 percent last year as a result of worker emigration. According to population statistics, approximately 370,000 Poles left to work abroad in the past year.

Spain has stepped up reparation efforts of undocumented immigrants after nearly 650 Africans arrived via boat last week. Spain ’s EITB 24 reports that five planes have taken back 168 migrants to their native Morocco and Mauritania over the weekend. This tough-line approach on immigration occurs just days before the governing Socialist party prepares for regional elections.
Immigration has become a great concern to Spanish voters since last year, when approximately 30,000 Africans arrived in the Canary Islands in the hope of finding work in Europe .
