Nancy Pelosi, Harry Reid want DREAM Act vote

Politico reports that House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) will push for a vote on the DREAM Act when Congress reconvenes. The DREAM Act, which would grant citizenship to illegally present immigrants if they attend college or serve in the military, was shot down in September when it was attached to the annual defense policy bill. The Washington Times reports that Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-NV) promised to have the Senate vote on the DREAM Act. In an interview with Univision’s Al Punto, Reid said he only needs a handful of Republicans to join him in supporting the DREAM Act, but that they have been unwilling to give their support.
