Office Hours:	8:30 AM to 12:00 PM Monday through Friday for nonimmigrant 
visas.  Immigrant visa applications are accepted 8:30 -12:00 on Monday, 
Tuesday, Thursday and Friday.

Nonimmigrant Visas:

Visas are issued in 95+% of cases. There are no limits on reapplying for a visa if a visa has previously been denied. Applicants for F, J, M and H visas are required to be interviewed by the consulate. Applicants in other categories can apply by mail and will not be required to interview unless the submitted supporting documentation is considered by a reviewing consular officer to be inadequate. The post accepts applications from third country nationals without restriction accept during the summer months. During that time, only Greek nationals and persons legally in Greece will be accepted for processing.

Immigrant Visas:

The visa approval rate is 95+%. The INS maintains an office at the Athens consulate which handles applications for immediate relatives where the petitioner is a resident of Greece. The consulate will accept, on a discretionary basis, jurisdiction over third country nationals. The medical examination must be conducted by either Dr. John Valodimos, Dr. Demetrios Nicolaidis, or Dr. Demetrios Kalogeromitros. All practice at the Diagnostic Center, 20 Xenias Street 115 27 in Athens.
