A MESSAGE FROM SISKIND, SUSSER, HAAS & CHANG Dear Readers: We hope that you have all gotten 1997 off to a great start and we at Siskind, Susser, Haas & Chang look forward to continue providing the best news and analysis on the Internet in the area of immigration law and procedure. We began 1996 as a three lawyer immigration firm with offices in Nashville and Memphis, Tennessee. We now have nine lawyers practicing out of offices in Northern and Southern California, New York, New Jersey, Toronto, Canada, Knoxville, Tennessee as well as our original office in Memphis and our headquarter office in Nashville. As one of the largest immigration firms in the US, we are now poised to provide even better information on our web site (www.visalaw.com) and in our e-mail distributions. We are also able to provide even better service to our clients located throughout North America. Among our newsletter goals for the new year are to begin publishing the newsletter on our web site in an Adobe Acrobat format, continue to improve and increase the content of our newsletter and to begin distributing a print version of the newsletter. We also wanted to apologize again for a technical snafu that allowed three e-mails from subscribers to the e-mail version of this newsletter to reach many of you. An antiquated e-mail program one reader to post a message to the private address of this list and two responses to that message were also posted before the problem was discovered and resolved. We want to assure our readers that there was no targeted "security breach" and that the messages were sent accidentally. However, we learned a valuable lessen and the incident will, hopefully never be repeated. In this month's issue, we report on several news developments including new agency interpretations of IIRAIRA 96 (the new immigration law), the moratorium on home residency requirement waiver recommendations by the Department of Housing and Urban Development and new rules affecting naturalization applications. We also include our regular features including INS | Next >Disclaimer: This newsletter is provided as a public service and not intended to establish an attorney client relationship.
