Nonimmigrant Visa Section:

The Section is open from Monday to Friday from 9 to 12, except on Belgian and U.S. Holidays. Applicants are processed in first come first serve order. The application fee for a visa is BF 1800 or U.S. $ 45 (exact change only). The visa is normally issued within two working days (more commonly the same day). Belgium is on the Visa Waiver Pilot Country list and most Belgians enter the US in that category so the demand for nonimmigrant visas is not great.

There is no limit on the number of re-applications that can be made nor on the length of time that one must wait to reapply.

Immigrant Visas:

Interviews are held between 2 pm and 4 pm Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays. Approved applicants will receive their visas the same day. American citizens residing in Belgium can apply for Belgian spouses at the consulate and can normally get an approval within a few weeks. The post has a good reputation for speedy processing and normally sets an interview within weeks of receiving packet three.
