NEW LAW CREATES NATIONAL INTEREST WAIVERS FOR PHYSICIANS
President Clinton has signed into law H.R. 441, which was originally introduced as a bill to alleviate nursing shortages. During its trek through the legislative session, however, an addition was made that has returned life to National Interest Waivers, at least for physicians who are willing to work in medically underserved areas.
