INS TEXAS SERVICE CENTER MEETING PROCESSING TIME TARGETS
Siskind’s Immigration Bulletin has obtained documentation showing that while the Texas Service Center continues to be far behind on processing adjustment of status and other cases, it is on target for meeting certain internal processing time goals for seven types of cases. The following table summarizes the agency’s findings:

The obtained TSC documentation also provides some background on the division of labor at the Texas Service Center. The TSC has 200 employees that adjudicate petitions and respond to inquiries. The 200 are divided as follows:
16 supervisors/managers
8 Congressional Liaisons
14 Immigration Information Officers who answer telephone inquiries
3 Immigration Information Officers who handle fax inquiries
7 Immigration Information Officers who handle written inquiries
30 Naturalization Officers who work with partner field offices
122 adjudicating officers
