NYT: YOUNG CHINESE ACROBATS KEPT IN SLAVE-LIKE CONDITIONS IN US
The Times reports that three people have been indicted in connection with enslaving a troupe of Chinese acrobats that performed under the name "China Star Acrobats." The whistle was blown by an interpreter for the group. Some members of the group told the Times that the accusers were making up the story in an effort to get green cards since the group members' visas are expiring this month and the troupe is scheduled to return to China.
