The EB-5 program has always had an unusual combination of supporters. Liberal Senator Pat Leahy (D-VT) and ultra-conservative Senator Jeff Sessions (R-AL) have always been two of the program’s biggest supporters. But some are speculating that with Leahy no longer the chair of the Senate Judiciary Committee and Chuck Grassley (R-IA), no fan of the program, now taking charge, the program could face a bumpy ride when it comes to extending it past the September 30th expiration date. The Observer reports on fears in the EB-5 community regarding the program’s future.
