From the American Health Lawyers Association:

National Journal (5/3, Subscription Publication) reports on the gathering of “more than 2,000 people” Sunday at the Vermont Statehouse “to protest an amendment to the universal healthcare bill that would exclude undocumented workers. Vermont is on a fast track to becoming the first state to have a single-payer healthcare system.” However, “activist groups and some lawmakers are outraged by a last-minute amendment added to the Senate bill that would exclude undocumented workers from receiving healthcare under the single-payer system.”
