pictureThe best companies in the world have found a way to get the right people on the bus and in the right seats, a clever way to say they have people working at top capacity because they've carefully aligned their skills to the company's need.

It isn't easy.

The Bartlett Chamber of Commerce will help demystify the process in a workshop called "Finding, Keeping and Creating Great Employees" from 8:30 to 11:30 a.m. July 14 at the Holiday Inn Sycamore View, 6101 Shelby Oaks Drive.

"When you have the right people, you can accomplish almost anything," says Brad Federman, workshop leader and an expert in staff selection and performance management at Performance Connections. "It's the most important and most difficult responsibility a business owner has."

The workshop is the third in the chamber's Breaking Through to the Next Level series, designed to help companies by tackling concerns common to many employers.

The next session, Growth Strategies that Work, is Aug. 25, followed by Business Succession Planning, Oct. 13, and Making Better Decisions Faster, Nov. 17.

Cost is $50 for Bartlett Chamber members and $100 for others. A six-pack package is available to members for $250 and to others for $500. To register: 372-9457.

Visalaw.com No. 1

Immigration lawyers have long known what an independent consult ing group has just confirmed - law firm Siskind Susser has the nation's best law Web site.

Visalaw.com is the address for people, both lawyers and immigrants, who want to know what's going on - through live chat and its immigration bulletin - in courtrooms, on Capitol Hill and at the borders.

This is the second consecutive year the site has been honored by the Internet Marketing Attorney.

"As we celebrate our site's 10th anniversary this summer, receiving this honor will certainly help motivate our team to continue to produce a site that people around the world will use for crucial information on the U.S. immigration system," Greg Siskind said.
