ill authorizes appropriations for

order and transportation security personnel and technology, and for other
purposes. Senator John McCain
(R-AZ) supported the

ill stating that we must do all we can to improve the ports of entry along the
b
orders with
b
oth
Mexico
and
Canada
. He added that
b
eyond the need for improving technology for infrastructure, the need for a guest
worker prog
ram
must
b
e addressed. McCain stated that as long as there are jo
b
s to
b
e had on this side of the
b
order, people will continue to attempt crossing illegally.
