The SEC is targeting a Chinese and a Florida-based organization with SEC violations based on their steering EB-5 investors to particular regional center investments. The two companies were paid commissions by the regional centers, but the companies were not registered by the SEC as broker dealers. Many believe that many similar charges will follow against EB-5 agents as well as attorneys who accept commissions from regional centers.
