Four important immigration programs scheduled to expire on September 30th are likely getting a short extension of their authorization until December 11th. Several sources – including Law360 – are reporting that Senate Republicans will offer a “clean” reauthorization for this short period to keep the programs going without alterations while substantive changes are considered. In particular, the EB-5 program is one where member of Congress are hoping to update various provisions and the Conrad 30 physician J-1 waiver program’s supporters have been pushing for a number of changes as well
