Bloomberg BNA explores the topic of how international physicians can help ease a growing psychiatry shortage in the US. More than 60% of US counties (and 80% in rural areas) lack a single psychiatrist. 1/3 of all psychiatrists in the US are now foreign-born and many start their US careers in underserved areas.
