Senators Orrin Hatch (R-UT) and Patrick Leahy (D-VT) have introduced legislation called the ARTS Act to put teeth into the current statutory requirement that USCIS adjudicate O-1 cases within 14 days. If a case filed by a non-profit arts organization is not adjudicated in 14 days, applicants will be entitled to convert the case to premium processing at no charge.
