H.R. 5400, introduced by Rep. James Hansen (R-UT), would amend the Immigration and Nationality Act to make both engaging in terrorist activity and being a member of an organization designated by the State Department as a terrorist organization the basis for the loss of US citizenship.

California Governor Gray Davis recently signed two pieces of legislation benefiting immigrants. One gives former bracero workers and their descendents additional time to file legal claims to recover money they were promised but never received. The other law guarantees all workers in the state the same protection under state law regardless of their immigration status.
