Nonimmigrant visas: Nonimmigrant visa applications are accepted by appointment only. In order to schedule an appointment applicants must present their passports in person at the consulate between 7:30 am and 2:00 pm, Sunday through Thursday. Upon presentation of the passport , an applicant will be given a date and time for an interview. On the date of the interview applicant must appear within 10 minutes of the scheduled interview time. A non refundable application fee of US is required. The Consulate will process most types of non-immigrant visas.

If the applicant is found eligible, the visa is generally issued the same day. The applicant must pick up the passports with the visa at 2:30 pm at the Consular Section. Visas will not be mailed to the applicants. Refused applicants may reapply, but only two applications may be accepted each year.

Immigrant visas: Interviews for immigrant visa applications are accepted by appointment only. Processing time for the applications is approximately 2 months from the receipt of the application. An appointment time is sent roughly one month prior to the date of the interview. Immigrant visas are generally issued the same day as the interview.
