H.R. 5322, the Drivers’ License Integrity Act, introduced by Rep. Eric Cantor (R-VA), would prohibit the states from issuing driver’s licenses to nonimmigrants with a period of validity greater than the nonimmigrant’s authorized stay in the US.
H.R. 5354, the Terrorist Victim Citizenship Relief Act of 2002, introduced by Rep. Frank Pallone (D-NJ), would grant honorary US citizenship to noncitizen victims of the September 11th attacks if they were in lawful immigration status on that day, and would grant permanent residence to those spouses and children.
