Two significant government immigration resources have been made available recently on the Internet. The United States Department of Justice’s Executive Office for Immigration Review, Board of Immigration Appeals now makes its decisions available online at http://www.usdoj.gov/eoir/efoia/bia/biaindx.htm. The Adobe Acrobat reader is needed to view the decisions. The free software can be downloaded at http://www.adobe.com. The Executive Office of Immigration Review’s main web site can be found at http://www.usdoj.gov/eoir.

Another item of note is the availability of the new State Department Human Rights report on the State Department web site. It can be found at http://www.state.gov/www/global/human_rights/1997_hrp_report/97hrp_report_toc.html. The document is a critical reference tool in asylum cases.

On the General Accounting Office Web Site, various immigration-related reports are available in a text or Acrobat format. The address for a recent report on Agricultural immigrant workers is at http://www.gao.gov/monthly.list/december/dec973.htm#0.

And in the Siskind, Susser, Haas & Chang web site’s Document’s Collection, readers can find the latest list of Law Enforcement Agencies authorized to take fingerprints for green card applications
