USCIS WORKS OUT SOLUTION FOR 10 YEAR LIMIT ON P ATHLETES

The AP is reporting that it has obtained a memo which calls for allowing P-1 athletes reaching their ten year limit to continue in P status as long as they apply for a new visa outside the US. USCIS is backing off its interpretation of the law that P-1 athletes were subject to a lifetime limit of ten years in the status.
