Remember Hazleton, Pennsylvania? That’s the town that passed a law punishing landlord who rent to unlawfully present immigrants and employers who hire them. The law was thrown out by a district court judge. The case was appealed and the Third Circuit will hear oral arguments next week on the constitutionality of the law and whether a local government can regulate in this area.
