Dear Readers:
In this month’s issue, we report on a number of regulatory developments in the immigration arena. They include new rules on vaccinations for those seeking permanent residency, rules governing student visas for those attending public elementary, secondary and adult continuing education programs, rules relating to fingerprinting for permanent residency and naturalization applicants and INS predictions for rules set to be released in the near future. We also are pleased to include all of our regular features including a Visa Spotlight on EB-5 visas (often referred to as the million dollar visas), the regular monthly report from our Canadian office, INS and Labor Department Times, the State Department Visa Bulletin, Legislative Update, Consular Focus and University Corner. Finally, we would like to note that thousands and thousands of our readers took advantage of our special lottery issue and the DV-98 Green Card Lottery Center on our web site (which included a lottery question and answer document as well as a sample application and envelope) to enter themselves in the lottery. We thank those of you who provided useful suggestions on how to make the Lottery Center site as useful as possible and welcome any further comments you may have so that we can make the site even more useful for the DV-99 lottery to be held next year. Also, if you used our site to guide you in the application process, please let us know if you win. We’re always interested in knowing about readers who benefited from the site.
