The four regional INS Service Centers, which have changed names several times over the last few years, are changing names again. The INS has announced that the services centers will now be known by the state where the center is located. The new names are as follows:
Northern Service Center – Now known as the Nebraska Service Center
Southern Service Center – Now known as the Texas Service Center
Western Service Center – Now known as the California Service Center
Eastern Service Center – Now known as the Vermont Service Center
