One of the reasons I stopped using my iPaq PDA phone and switched to using a bluetooth Dell Axim x51v and a Samsung 920 EVDO bluetooth phone is because all of the PDA phone devices have been shrinking their screens down to a size I consider useless if you’re a serious PDA user. I read books, do real editing, take care of expense reports, etc. on my Dell and a decent size screen is critical. On every new Windows Mobile 5.0 phone device I’ve found, the screens have been reduced to make them look just like the Treo. Hate that trend and hate that I’ve had to take a step backwards by going with two devices!

I saw this interesting new phone at Engadget that’s not available in the US and probably won’t be for a while, but it does provide an ingenious solution – a slide out second screen.
