Courts Continue to Grapple with Detaining Immigrants During the Crisis – April 7, 2020

Law360 reports that a federal judge in Louisiana denied the release of detainees with medical conditions claiming that there saying the release would be an “overreach” of his authority. And the government argued yesterday in a California federal district court that it should not have to release children from detainment despite the pandemic. Law360 reports on that case as well.
