The New York Times reports on a Brazilian-born developer’s efforts to use EB-5 investors to finance the construction of a stadium in Orlando for a Major League Soccer franchise. This is not the first time EB-5 funds have been used to finance a sports venue. Foreign investors previously invested in the Barclay’s Center in Brooklyn where the NBA’s Brooklyn Nets play.
