USCIS published the long-awaited rule extending optional practical training from 29 to 36 months for people with degrees in science, technology, engineering and math degrees from US schools. And, as with the earlier policy, the agency has excluded health science professionals. USCIS mentioned in the commentary on the regulation that it drew the line at providing patient services, but did not explain why.
