USCIS Naturalizes 20,000 Immigrants in Honor of Presidents Day

From February 12-22, USCIS held more than 180 naturalization ceremonies across the country, during which 20,000 immigrants became U.S. citizens.

The ceremonies were held in honor of Presidents Day, to recognize that every president in U.S. history, regardless of party affiliation or political belief, understood that immigrants and their contributions are essential for American success. Similarly, USCIS hopes that these newly naturalized U.S. citizens will help strengthen the fabric of American society and honor our unique heritage as a nation of immigrants.

To reinforce this notion, USCIS shared the stories of naturalized U.S. citizens whose children became president. You can read their stories here.
