Elissa J. Taub is a partner and leader of the firm’s healthcare immigration practice in which she manages immigration matters for a diverse cross-section of health systems, hospitals, and medical practices as well as individual healthcare workers in all facets of the industry. Elissa also handles cases for individuals in the sports, entertainment and fashion industries. She has extensive experience with J-1 waivers, H-1Bs, O-1s, EB-1 extraordinary ability petitions, National Interest Waivers and labor certification based green cards, as well as a variety of other business and family immigration processes.
Prior to joining the firm in 2007, Elissa was an associate at two large law firms where she represented corporate clients in a variety of complex litigation matters, including antitrust, white-collar criminal and class action litigation.
Elissa earned her Juris Doctor degree from Villanova University School of Law in Villanova, PA where she graduated magna cum laude, Order of the Coif. She earned her Bachelor’s Degree from Washington University in St. Louis.
Elissa is co-author of The Physician Immigration Handbook. She is regularly invited to present webinars, conference presentations and to conduct client trainings on a diverse range of topics related to healthcare immigration. Elissa is an active member of the IMG Taskforce and the American Immigration Lawyers Association, where she has served on several national committees. She also has held leadership roles with the American Health Law Association. Elissa is a member of the Florida Bar.
