An official at the INS’ Texas Service Center (the “TSC”) has informed us that the TSC will continue processing employment-based nonimmigrant and immigrant petitions. The TSC began processing such applications under a pilot program which began last May and was scheduled to end on November 6, 1995. The news has not been confirmed yet in any official manner. The news is particularly welcome since the TSC has quickly gained a reputation for being the most efficient and customer service-oriented of the four regional service centers.
