DHS Offers 18 Month Extension for South Sudan TPS

Homeland Security Secretary Jeh Johnson re-designated South Sudan for Temporary Protected Status (TPS) and extended the existing TPS 18 months from Nov. 3, 2014 to May 2, 2016. Nationals of South Sudan or persons who last habitually resided in South Sudan may now register or re-register for TPS.

 

DOS Issues Filing Fee Changes

The Department of State issued filing fee changes that went into effect on September 6th. Some of the changes are as follows:

Nonimmigrant Visa Fees
E Visa – $205 ($65 decrease)
K Visa – $265 ($25 increase)

Immigrant Visa Fees
Family based – $325 ($95 increase)
Employment based – $245 ($60 decrease)
AOS fee -$120 ($32 increase)
J Waiver – $120 ($95 decrease)
